TALLAHASSEE, FL --- No matter the season tea can be tasty served iced or hot. The benefits serve more of a purpose than just refreshments; tea can help improve your health.

Some studies show tea can help protect your heart and avert the affects of cancer. There are also a variety of natural remedies that can help the body stay healthy and prevent illness.

Many people turn to medicine and doctors for remedies, but there are natural holistic ways to heal the body. Kayla Sulla, a Reiki Practitioner and Nutritional Therapist started Way of Life Wellness, a healing center dedicated to making natural healing mainstream.

The center is located at 1535 Killearn Center Blvd Ste B3. “It is our mission to make holistic healing accessible to a broader audience so that more people can capitalize on the immense benefits. We control our own ability to heal ourselves by prioritizing our health as a way of life,” said Sulla.

The center can help people in other ways than just tea; Sulla has equipped herself in many different forms of healing and nutrition. “In addition to my custom tea blends, I also provide several healing modalities. I do Reiki which is an ancient Japanese energy healing technique that helps to bring the body back into homeostasis allowing for self-healing.

I provide nutrition plans geared towards eliminating the symptoms of illness. I perform detoxifying ionic foot baths that help eliminate toxins from the body and neutralize damaging free radicals, which cause cancer and premature aging.

Currently, I am learning Emotional Freedom Technique that clears the meridians within the body, reduces cortisol levels, and turns off the flight or fight response in the brain thus providing tremendous relief from stress and pain,” said Sulla.

Sulla started this business on her own, inspired by her experiences at the age of 25. She had heart surgery, the recovery was difficult, and she was told she would be on medication for the rest of her life.

Her desperation for a cure lured her into a holistic center, which left her into tears; she felt it would help her. “A holistic healing center saved my life and that inspired me to do the same for others. I am proud to say that I have been living healthily off of medication for nearly two years because of my dedication to the natural approach,” said Sulla.

Many people enjoy Way of Life Wellness Tea because it is suitable to their specific taste and it produces real results. “I come out the market on Wednesdays just re-up on my tea and have good time out here, I have been a customer for about two weeks now and I see the results,” said Alexis Senn.

Each herb contains unique healing properties and Sulla took it upon herself to help others who might not typically use them. Sulla carries a variety of teas from fruity to floral, herbal teas, earthy green teas, to bold black Tai teas. There are also teas to reduce inflammation and muscle pain, plus more.

The selections for the ingredients of the tea include natural and organic plants. “I order wholesale organic herbs and I also source locally from farmers. I love being able to support local farmers and transform their flowers, plants, weeds, and herbs into nature's medicine through tea,” said Sulla.

Benefits of selling tea are that it is open to everyone and safe. Adults, children and elderly can use the tea. Even though Way of Life Wellness has a center, you can buy tea locally at the Lake Ella Farmers Market every Wednesday and Saturday.

At the Farmers Market are other holistic and naturally grown ingredients you can buy to add some flavor to your tea, for instance, honey.  “I have been told that my honey goes well with their tea it’s the perfect blend. It also works well with the “allerTEA” (the allergy tea) because of the pollen from the bees," said Mac Gates of Mac’s Honey and Bee Farm.

PS- You guys I tried this tea and it is good! I didn't like tea as a child because of the weird taste, but this tea has a nice blend. I drink it every night with no problems I even got some of the organic honey to go along with it. My allergies are horrible and this tea has really been helpful. Thanks Kayla, and Sam!
